I’m live at the Saban Theatre posting updates on the debate between Andrew Breitbart, Mickey Kaus, John Amato and Roy Sekoff.

8:21 – First subject is BP Oil Spill.    AB says the left is rushing to judgement to accuse BP, but we’ve been told to not “Rush to judgement” when Maj. Hasan murders soldiers at Ft. Hood.

8:27 – John Amato from CrooksandLiars is very aggressive and obnoxious.

8:29 – Roy Sekoff says Barney Frank is one of the good guys… Breitbart says:  Is that a punchline????

8:28 – Question to Bob Amato regarding Bobby Jindahl’s chances in 2012.  He says he looked like Howdy Doodie when giving GOP response and the background of the video was bad.

Breitbart says:  How dare you.   You are a racist!

8:30 – Breitbart raises the subject of the SEIU activities in DC this weekend.  No on e on panel seems to know about it.

8:35 – John Amato says that Breitbart’s attack on ACORN was attacking poor people.  HEAVILY DOCTORED VIDEOS

8:37 – Breitbart:  You’re the only crackpot i America who believes that!

8:39 – Jill Stewart tries to get the subject back to Mickey Kaus…  The question is about Rand Paul.  Kaus quasi defends the his logic though dis-avows the logic!

8:42 – Sekoff says the Paul family has race issues.  Breitbart points out that Joan Walsh said at Salon yesterday that she should not call the Tea Party a racist group.  Heckler in crowd:  ”She was wrong”.   Breitbart:  :”You should send her an email!”

8:44 – Amato::  There is a visceral reaction from the right to Obama.  Breitbart:  Unlike the wonderful and calm reaction to George Bush.

8:45 – Heckler screaming to Breitbart about the N-word story – Breitbart engages

Heckler is David Erickson the man who originated the BARACK THE MAGIC NEGRO song!!!!!!!!!   Breitbart says HOW DARE YOU DENEGRATE MY PRESIDENT YOU RACIST!!!!

8:47 – Amato totally gets the N-word story wrong…  Sekoff explains the story to everyone.

8::49 – Breitbart just endorced Mickey Kaus for Senate against Barbara Boxer!!!! (Dem primary only, of course)

8:50 – Jill Stewart says we have to wrap it up… crowd is booing.

8:51 – Stewart asks Breitbart about the CA Gov race… he says “I can pretend I’m following it….” Stewart says:  Never mind.

I will have a lot to say about the PRE-SHOW activities later… it was actually BETTER than the debate itself.

8:53 – Amato is really coming across as dense, I gotta say… he is having trouble putting thoughts together.

8:55 – Stewart accuses Breitbart of Twittering during the debate

8:56  -  I just brought Breitbart a beer.

8:57 – Stewart asks Breitbart how we fix the political climate with campaign financing issues… he says he likes how things are with the new media and freedom of speech.  He loves that HuffPo is here… he doesn’t want a fairness doctrine.  Stewart says we know you have a good relationship with Arianna, but we don’t understand it.  Breitbart says it is a mighty air kiss relationship.

8:59 – Question to Amato:  Why isn’t ther more anger in California.  He says the problem is the two-thirds vote rule for tax increases.  Yeah, just like a lefty, it should be easier to raise taxes.

9:00 – Amato points to a poll that says Californians want higher taxes before public employees are laid off.

TURNS OUT BREITBART WAS NOT TWEETING.  HE WAS EMAILING ME ASKING FOR A BEER
